After making it through years of his deployment and her medical school, Elizabeth and Jono tied the knot in an epic celebration with their Riverside Yacht Club Connecticut wedding weekend. The bride’s family is one of the nearest and dearest to my business as I photographed her sister’s wedding as well as the weddings of a few other family members.

The couple began the festivities with a casual rehearsal dinner at American Yacht Club.  The next day, the bride got ready at her childhood home with her parents and bridesmaids.  She opted for an elegantly preppy Carolina Herrera gown with her bridesmaids in blue. The couple chose to do a first look on the dock at the venue, Riverside Yacht Club, while their wedding party watched and cheered from a distance.

After a ceremony at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, the celebration continued back at Riverside Yacht Club with an outdoor cocktail hour featuring oysters and other seafood hors d’oeuvres.  The gorgeous tented reception was expertly decorated by Slainte Events with colorful florals by Hana Floral.  After sunset photos on the bride’s family sailboat, everyone danced the night away to The Blake Band and rounded out the evening with a sparkler send off and boat ride escape for the couple.  The day was captured perfectly on video by McKenzie Miller Films.
