I’ve photographed at so many gorgeous venues across the region, but Amanda and RJ’s Mansion at Natirar wedding has to be one of the most stunning weddings I have been to.  The Mansion was built in the Gilded Age by a wealthy Manhattan couple who wanted a private home to escape to outside of the hustle of New York.  It now serves as one of the most elegant mansion style wedding venues in New Jersey – one which I hope to photograph at many times again!

Amanda and RJ are the type of couple who immediately feel like old friends the first time you meet them.  They are fun loving and not afraid of getting goofy (or crying their eyes out with happiness!).  On the day of their Mansion at Natirar Wedding, Amanda got ready in the mansions gorgeous living room, complete with a massive fireplace and vibrant dark green walls.  I loved this space for photos – it’s like something out of an interior design magazine!

Although the day threatened for rain, we managed to sneak in the couple’s first photos outside before a massive downpour!  Amanda and RJ’s first look was perfect – full of laughter and tears.  We grabbed a few wedding parry photos and then ran inside to avoid the rain.  Luckily their amazing wedding planner, Peony Events, had planned for this and the outdoor ceremony space was already tented and ready for their vows – rain or shine.  The storm didn’t last long, and by the time the guests began to arrive the downpour had passed and their tented ceremony went off without a hitch.

Right before the reception began, the rain clouds provided the makings for the most gorgeous sunset I’ve ever seen – complete with a rainbow.  We raced outside to capture the epic light and took some of my favorite photos from the day!   Thanks for having me along A&R!
