Kristina and Steve’s Pleasantdale Chateau wedding was truly one for the ages.  Kristina is a popular fashion blogger and Instagram influencer (@misszias) – so I was beyond excited when she reached out about photographing her wedding.  It was really fun to merge my usual more candid style with her talents as a model to create some more editorial, fashion inspired wedding photos.  Plus, the gorgeous grounds at Pleasantdale Chateau were the perfect setting for the glamorous, European vibe we were going for.

Pleasantdale Chateau has a stunning indoor greenhouse which served as a unique location for Kristina’s detail photos and bridal portraits.  The lush colors and textures perfectly accentuated her invitation, shoes and gown.  After the bride got ready, she and I explored the venue and took bridal portraits against the lush greenhouse backdrop.  Kristina is a natural in front of the camera, which made my job easy!

We then headed to a local Greek Orthodox church for the ceremony where the couple saw each other for the first time that day.  After their emotional ceremony, we headed back to Pleasantdale Chateau and took some portraits of the bride and groom in the evening light.  I loved photographing these two – not only are the naturals in front of the camera, but they are also so clearly deeply love, which made their photos not only elegant, but meaningful as well.

The evening ended with a fun party, incorporating elements of the couple’s Greek background with traditional musicians.  Just before I left, we snuck off to the venue’s secret indoor pool to grab a few last portraits of the couple before they ended the night.  I loved this opportunity to create some more moody, romantic portraits late in the evening.  Thanks so much for having me along K&S!
