Caroline and Tom have a love story that is so true to my heart. Caroline is from New Jersey and Tom is from the UK. They met while she was abroad, fell in love and Caroline made the move to live in London. If you know me, you know I’m a sucker for international love stories (maybe that has something to do with why I am married to an Australian) and there is really nothing more powerful then when someone is willing to leave behind everything they know and move across the world for love. I love how embracing a new culture can really open up the world and make travel and adventure so much easier. Also, combining a bunch of fun-loving Americans and Brits makes for a pretty epic wedding!
Jasna Polana served as the perfect venue for Carline and Tom’s wedding – it’s elegant with old-world charm that makes you feel like you could be in the French countryside (even though you’re actually in one of the prettiest parts of New Jersey, just outside of Princeton). Caroline looked classically stunning in her Le Spose di Gio bow tied gown and funky floral Aquazzura flats. Fashion ruled the day, with most of the women wearing classic British “fascinator” headpieces (like those loved by the royal family!). After an tear-filled ceremony on the lawn, the guests danced the night away – but not before watching Caroline and Tom’s epic first dance, complete with a spinning lift! The highlight for me was sneaking out for a few evening photos, getting to celebrate their first evening as husband and wife, with the elegant Jasna Polana facade as the perfect romantic backdrop.
Beyond all of the elegance, what really made this day special was Caroline’s radiant smile and the couple’s absolute joy at being married! Congrats guys!
