A City Wedding
Jennifer and Steven had the quintessential New York City wedding. With a ceremony at the Church of St Francis Xavier in Manhattan, portraits in Washington Square Park and a reception at Liberty House with views of the skyline, this wedding was an NYC dream! To top all of that off, Jennifer and Steven are the nicest couple you can imagine. AND their wedding party and family were amazing, braving the rain to make photo-magic happen.
Rainy Day Good Luck
Everyone always tells brides that rainy wedding days mean good luck… I don’t know if that is true or not, but I do know that rainy days mean for dreamy, romantic wedding photos! I always beg my couples to brave the rain and go outside even if they have to get a little wet. Jennifer and Steven took that to heart. It drizzled on and off the entire day, but we still managed to take lovely photos in the iconic Washington Square Park and on my favorite secret street, Washington Mews. (If you’ve never been to Washington Mews you have to check it out… it feels like you’ve been transported to Italy in the middle of the city).
Vibrant Details
A lot of couples opt of light colors and pastels for decor (which we all do love), but Jennifer didn’t shy away from embracing the bold and the beautiful. From her gold wedding invitations (and gold engagement ring.. stunning!) to her red floral center pieces, everything about this wedding stood out. Not to mention that Liberty House is a gorgeous venue with Manhattan skyline views that can’t be beat. My favorite part of the day had to be sneaking the couple out for some last minute, rainy evening shots against the glowing Manhattan skyline. You know you’ve found the one when they give you a piggy back ride through the mud, all to get that dream photo! Cheers to Jennifer and Seven!
