Taryn and Marc had a beautiful fall Peconic Bay wedding at Peconic Bay Yacht Club. The club is located in one of my favorite little towns on the North Fork of Long Island, surrounded by beaches and wineries. I’ve been lucky enough to spend some vacation time out in the North Fork (often referred to as the Hampton’s laid-back neighbor) and I have quickly come to love it’s quirky charms!
Taryn and Marc began their Peconic Bay wedding with the bride getting ready upstairs and the groom in the basement bar. Taryn chose a lacy Rosa Clará gown, with natural makeup by Cherise Lorén Beauty and beachy waves by Hairstories. The couple opted not to do a first look, but we still took some time before the ceremony to take photos with their wedding parties separately, something I highly recommend to save time later in the day.
After their ceremony at Our lady of Good Counsel in Mattituck, we returned to Peconic Bay Yacht Club. You can tell immediately in all of Taryn and Marc’s photos that it was a windy day on the water, but these two embraced it and their windswept portraits became some of my favorite photos to date! We got lucky with the most gorgeous evening light followed by a beautiful sunset over the bay. I loved photographing these two – their affection for each other radiates immediately (plus they weren’t afraid to do a little rock scrambling to get the shot!).
After braving the chilly November wind, we all rushed back inside for the reception. The dinner space was perfectly decorated by The Flower Petaler and guests were gifted local North Fork honey to take home. It was such a fun, lighthearted day, which ended perfectly with a great dance party lead by Crossing Midnight Entertainment Band. Congrats T&M!
