Laura and Bryce are one of those super sweet couples that you can tell feel lucky to have found each other. The pair met at work and over time decided to join their lives together and create a new family along with Bryce’s two children. Their summer wedding was held at the charming Buttermilk Falls Inn in Milton, New York. Set in the rolling hills overlooking the Hudson River, the inn proved to be the perfect backdrop for their celebration!
My favorite detail of the day was Laura’s antique wedding dress. She found the gown while going through her grandmother’s things. She quickly realized that this heirloom fit her just as well as it had fit her grandmother decades earlier. After some slight alterations, Laura wore her grandmother’s wedding dress on her wedding day…It was hard not to get a little teary-eyed!
BUTTERMILK FALLS: AN OUTDOOR AFFAIR
All of Laura and Bryce’s family and friends gathered in front of a will tree to watch the couple make their vows to each other. Even though it was a classic muggy New York summer’s day, it was worth the heat to be on the lovely grounds of Buttermilk Falls! After a touching ceremony the guests moved to a tented reception. The space was beautifully adorned with bright flowers and string lights. We finished off the evening with a magical stroll along the lantern adorned grounds. It was truly a whimsically wonderful day from beginning to end!
